Our Legacy of Innovation: The History of Everest Blowers & Vacuum Pumps

For over four decades, Everest Blowers & Vacuum Pumps has been at the forefront of industrial air and vacuum solutions in India and around the world. What began as a bold entrepreneurial vision in 1980 has grown into a trusted name synonymous with quality, innovation, and engineering excellence. Here’s a look back at our journey.

The Beginning: 1980–1990

Founded in New Delhi in 1980, Everest began with the design and manufacturing of Twin Lobe Rotary Air Compressors under the brand name “EVEREST.” The company quickly established itself as a quality-focused manufacturer of Roots Blowers. Early collaboration with BHEL helped us shape a strong quality management system (QMS).

By the late 1980s, Everest was recognized among the top industrial blower brands in India, winning prestigious orders from public sector giants like NTPC, SAIL, IOCL, and ONGC, and securing approvals from consultants such as EIL, TOYO, TATA, and IPCL.

Growth & Expansion: 1991–2000

Rising demand led to the establishment of new manufacturing units. Blower production was bifurcated by capacity—small blowers (up to 20 kW) and large blowers (20–300 kW). In 1998, Everest earned its first ISO 9001 certification from DNV, reinforcing its commitment to quality systems and operational excellence.

Towards Global Reach: 2001–2008

By the early 2000s, Everest produced over 100 blowers per month. The company started exporting to the USA, Middle East, Southeast Asia, and other global markets.

Key milestones during this period:

  • First Indian MVR Blower designed and supplied for a ZLD chemical plant in Maharashtra.
  • Participation in India’s first Sea Water Desalination Plant using Everest Vacuum Pumps & Boosters with NIOT (2005).
  • Emergence of a dedicated Vacuum Pumps and Skid Systems Division, laying the groundwork for future innovations.

Technology & Recognition: 2009–2014

In this period, Everest transitioned into a private limited company and received an R&D Excellence Award from then Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh under the MSME category.

Major developments:

  • Rapid growth of the Vacuum Division.
  • Shift to a state-of-the-art facility in HSIIDC Bahadurgarh.
  • Establishment of Everest as India’s largest and most trusted vacuum technology provider.

Integration & Modernization: 2015–2019

  • 2015: In-house R&D team formed; development of Dry Screw Vacuum Pump initiated. PFA Coating Facility set up.
  • 2016: Expansion of 18,000 sq. ft. of new manufacturing space. Awarded First Prize for Energy-Efficient Pumps by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
  • 2018: Launch of ESPH-800 and first-ever participation in ACHEMA Expo in Frankfurt.
  • 2019: Redefinition of Vision; launch of Everest Turbo brand with new product lines including Side Channel, Centrifugal, and Turbo Blowers.

Global Recognition & Resilience: 2019–2021

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Everest remained steadfast in its commitment to employee welfare, stakeholder confidence, and community support.

Key highlights:

  • Launch of LTTE (Low Temperature Thermal Evaporator).
  • Utility patents granted and 52% growth in sales.
  • Introduction of new Projects vertical for Oil & Gas applications.
  • R&D on ESPH-60 and Gen-II Boosters.

  • Implementation of cloud-based CRM for improved customer engagement.

Mergers & Manufacturing Excellence

In the latter half of the decade:

  • Both Everest units were merged into a single, modern facility in HSIIDC Bahadurgarh, capable of producing over 10,000 Twin & Tri-Lobe Blowers annually.
  • Everest secured approvals from all major consultants, Jal Boards, and government bodies—becoming the preferred choice for EPCs and OEMs across 38+ countries.
